so we were pretty keen to get out of bali for a few days and try our luck on another island, so we grabbed a few boards and jumped on a plane. we scored some pretty fun waves at certain peak that im pretty sure most people will know of. shit the wind kind of killed us though, i swear every morning about 8am it would come in howling like west oz in summertime. it was still a fun trip though and we got way better waves than if we stayed in bali so it was definately worth it. i got another 4 days hanging in bali now and then its back home to try score some waves

So Bali has been fun. The waves have been pretty small and crowded but we have managed to surf some cool little mysto spots thanks to a few of the local lads pointing us in the right direction. Looks like some swell on the way for the next coupla days so we are taking a short plane ride tomorrow to hopefully score at an outer island not to far from Bali. as for the padang padang contest, it is still on hold and doesnt look like any swells coming that will get the joint pumping before the waiting period runs out at the of the month, word on the street though is they might extend the waiting period for another 2 weeks. check out this little clip from the last 4 days in bali which you can also view on coastalwatch.com, we have another 2 or 3 clips planned which we will be posting up every monday on coastalwatch and rycraike.com for the next couple of weeks. enjoy:)

Just got back

Just got back from a week up in bali the waves were dead flat though so didn’t get to much surfing done, lots of bintangs though ha ha. I went for a little surf out the front of my house yesterday and copped the rail of my board right in my jaw, i can barely open it at the moment but hopefully it gets better in the next few days
